Alan Jackson headlines this show, but with any luck — and more country station airplay — opening act Sarah Darling will be headlining arenas in the coming years.

The Iowa singer's most recent single, "Little Umbrellas," is gaining traction in the traditional county world, and she has performed at the Grand Ole Opry more than 40 times.

She toured with "American Idol" winner Scotty McCreery; if you are a fan of "The Bachelor," you saw her earlier this year crooning for the bachelor and his date for the night.

"Sales went through the roof," Darling said in a telephone interview. "It's amazing how many people watch that show."

Before getting her big break, she worked as a waitress for more than six years, inspired by her junior-high teacher who told her to shoot for the stars.
