If you think you missed your chance to see "Saturday's Voyeur" this season, Salt Lake Acting Company is giving you one more chance.
The theater group announced today that it is extending the run of its summer satire of all things Utah by a week. The show — which imagines the scene in the Church Office Building last Election day as Mormon officials anticipated a President Mitt Romney — will now conclude its run on Sept. 8.
The venerable musical spoof is celebrating its 35th year — but SLAC is keeping up with the times, having posted "webisodes" tied to the show all this week on SLAC's Facebook page.
Also, tickets are still available for Thursday night's "Voyeur" fund-raiser. Dubbed "The Party," the event includes a cocktail party followed by a performance of the show — with a special one-night-only musical number — as well as a private meet-and-greet with the cast. "The Party" starts at 6 p.m. Thursday. Tickets are $100, and available on the SLAC website.
"Saturday's Voyeur" runs Wednesdays through Sundays at SLAC, 168 W. 500 North, Salt Lake City. Tickets range from $45 to $55.
