Here's what's being talked about over the weekend in pop culture:

• The horror thriller "The Conjuring" won the weekend box-office, and "R.I.P.D." bombed badly. Other new titles "Red 2" and "Turbo" underperformed, which means it was a bad weekend for Ryan Reynolds and Mary-Louise Parker (he's the main voice in "Turbo," she's in "Red 2," and they're both in "R.I.P.D."). • The coolest reveal at Comic-Con this weekend wasn't the Superman/Batman mash-up or Tom Hiddleston showing up in character as Loki – it was Karen Gillan, formerly of "Doctor Who," removing her ginger wig to show off her shaved head (for her character in Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy"). • "Glee" creator Ryan Murphy says the show will pay tribute to co-star Cory Monteith, who died in a Vancouver hotel room a week ago, on the new season's third episode. [The Hollywood Reporter]
