CBS and the producers of Big Brother (8 p.m., Ch. 2) did the right thing, but couldn't bring themselves to do it for the right reasons.The show finally revealed the racist, homophobic behavior of some of the contestants in Sunday's episodes - after it became an issue in the press. (Viewers of the 24-hour live feed from inside the "BB" house had chronicled the bad behavior, which led to two of the contestants to getting fired from their regular jobs.)But both the show's host, Julie Chen, and producer Allison Grodner have continued to insist that the info was revealed only because it became part of the "story" of what's going on in the competition on the show.That's patently ridiculous.
