The Utah Arts Festival and the Salt Lake City Mayor's office will present the Mayor's Artists Awards during the Festival on Friday, June 21 on the Festival Stage at 8:15 pm.This year's five recipients are Karen Horne – Visual Arts; Mary Ann Lee – Performing Arts; Bryan Young – Literary Arts; Frank McEntire – Service to the Arts by an Individual; and RadioWest – Service to the Arts by an Organization.

RadioWest is described by UAF as "a radio conversation where people tell stories that explore the way the world works. The hour-long interview format allows host Doug Fabrizio to speak in-depth with local and national experts. Listeners are invited to join the conversation by phone or by e-mail."RadioWest is broadcast live at 11 a.m. on KUER 90.1, a state-wide public radio station licensed to the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. The show is repeated at 7 p.m. and available for podcasting and streaming at radiowest.kuer.org.The 2013 Utah Arts Festival runs Thursday, June 20 through Sunday, June 23 from noon to 11 p.m. on Library Square, 400 South and 200 East in downtown Salt Lake City.Adult admission is $12 at the gate, $8 in advance. Reduced adult admission is available for opening day at $10 and a $6 lunchtime special from noon-3pm is available on Thursday and Friday. Seniors 65 and above are $6. Children 12 and under are free. Be an Art Fan for the entire festival with a four-day pass, for just $35, a savings of $11 over the single-day admission.
