The American Family Association - the self-appointed morality-in-media police that loves nothing more than creating controversy where none should exist - is trying to stir things up because the FCC announced it is "reviewing its policies on use of expletives and certain displays of nudity on television or radio."
That's a direct quote from the AFA's media release.
I'm waiting for examples of nudity on radio.
Lest you think that was just a publicist making a bit of an error, here's the quote from AFA president Tim Wildmon the group provided:
"American society is moving further and further away from the Biblical standards of morals and decency set by God, to the point that we have to worry about what our children view in the supermarket checkout, in their school textbooks, and now even in their own homes on television and radio."
I was always pretty strict about what I would let my kids watch on TV, but I never worried about what they would "view" on the "radio."
The AFA has never had much credibility. It has even less today.
