There's sort of a weird feel to Battleground: Rhino Wars, a three-part series that debuts at 7 and 9 p.m. on Animal Planet. It's a horrific look at what's happening to the rhinos, who are being hunted to extinction for their horns - which are believed to have some sort of magical quality in parts of Asia. And don't underestimage the word "horrific." There are scenes of maimed and killed animals that are tough to look at.If any of this does anything to help the rhinos, more power to Animal Planet. The premise of the show - four Americans who are former members of the U.S. special forces go to South Africa to help protect the rhinos - is more problematic. It's not really clear in the premiere who brought them there, but it smacks of old-time colonialism. Which is not a great message.Elsewhere on TV ...The Big Bang Theory (7 p.m., CBS/Ch. 2): Leonard, Sheldon and Wolowitz go to a junior high to speak on career day.Community (7 p.m., NBC/Ch. 5): The group goes to Shirley's house on Thanksgiving.American Idol (7 p.m., Fox/Ch. 13): The 10 finalists are revealed.Men's college basketball: Texas State at Utah State (7 p.m., KMYU); Oregon State at Utah (7 p.m., ESPNU)Two and a Half Men (7:30 p.m., CBS/Ch. 2): Alan gets in a fight with Walden and decides to move in with Herb.Person of Interest (8 p.m., CBS/Ch. 2): Reese and Finch try to protect six people at the same time.Glee (8 p.m., Fox/Ch. 13): Santana makes herself right at home in Kurt and Rachel's loft.King of the Nerds (8 and 10 p.m., TBS): A winner is declared in the finale of this incredibly stupid show.1600 Penn (8:30 p.m., NBC/Ch. 5): Skip goes on a date with Stacey.Anger Management (10:30 p.m. FX): Charlie and Kate are expert witnesses on opposite sides of a trial.Archer (11 p.m. FX): Archer his out to capture a notorious coyote.
