Will KUTV and KMYU disappear from Utahns' DirecTV lineups on Friday?Sinclair Broadcasting, which owns the two stations, is still running Big Scary Crawls proclaiming DirecTV subscribers "are expected to lose access to this station on March 1st."

Will it happen? There's no way to see inside the negotiations between Sinclair and DirecTV, which are all about how much money the latter will pay the former to carry its programming.

But the satellite TV giant continues to sound optimistic that there will be no interruption in service:"DirecTV continues to make significant progress each day toward a new long-term programming relationship with Sinclair Broadcast Group. This offers further assurance to our customers that there will be no interruption of their local programming. We also anticipate that, even in the most extreme case, Sinclair and DirecTV will agree to a brief extension beyond the initial Feb. 28 deadline to hammer out any final details."We'll see ...
