As fans of How I Met Your Mother (7 p.m., CBS/Ch. 2) are well aware, Robin (Cobie Smulders) was a teen pop star - Robin Sparkles - in her native Canada.

In this week's episode, Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) finds a copy of an embarrassing "Under the Tunes" profile of Robin Sparkles - a video that features comments by a slew of Canadians, including Alan Thicke,Jason Priestley, Paul Shaffer, Alex Trebek, k.d. lang, Steven Page, Geddy Lee and Luc Robataille.

And there are still more guest stars. James Van Der Beek appears as Robin's ex-boyfriend, Simon; Dave Thomas as music agent Chuck Gerusi; and Abby Elliott as Ted's (Josh Radnor) new girlfriend, Abby - who Marshall (Jason Segel) and Lily (Alyson Hannigan) think is a stalker.

No, this show is not as good as it once was. But with the announcement that the entire cast is returning for what will be the final season in 2013-14, I'm hoping it will focus the sitcom and put it back on track.
