A screening of the documentary "40 Days at Base Camp," director Diane Whelan's chronicle of one spring at the base of Mount Everest, takes place at The City Library, 210 E. 400 South, Salt Lake City. Utah-based climbers Apa Sherpa and Marshall Thompson, who were on a climbing team featured in the film, will discuss their exploits in a post-screening appearance. Show starts at 7. Free.

Plan-B Theatre's production of "Adam & Steve and the Empty Sea," a world premiere of a play by Matthew Green, debuts at the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center, 138 W. 300 South, Salt Lake City.
