Is it worse to be reviled or ignored?

The makers of "John Carter," Disney's $250 million box-office bust filmed partly in Utah, are discovering what it's like to be ignored — with today's release of the Razzies nominations.

The Razzies, or Golden Raspberry Awards, are given out for the year's worst movies — and this year the most nominations went to "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 2" (with 11).

"John Carter," though, received zero nominations.

The nominees for Worst Movie are: "Breaking Dawn, Part 2," the navy action flick "Battleship," the virtually unseen kiddie movie "The Oogieloves in the Big Balloon Adventure," Adam Sandler's raunchy comedy "That's My Boy," and the Eddie Murphy vehicle "A Thousand Words."

And even while "Battleship" took seven nominations, lead actor Taylor Kitsch — who also played the lead in "John Carter" — was passed over for Worst Actor honors.
