World-renowned pianist Eugene Mursk will perform tonight (Tuesday) at 7:30 p.m. at the Kaysville Tabernacle (198 W. Center Street) in the Davis Arts Council's Free Chamber Music Series.

He will perform the works of Chopin, Liszt, and Moussorgsky's "Pictures at an Exhibition." Born in 1975, Eugene studied in Moscow and Germany. After receiving numerous awards as a young pianist, in 1994 he was awarded First Prize in the World Piano Competition of London under the auspices of Princess Diana.

In addition, he was awarded a special prize there for the best interpretation of Chopin.He later won first place at several other competitions and was commissioned by the Hanssler label to record the complete works of Chopin in commemoration of Frederic Chopin's 200th birthday in 2010.And the event is free.
