The Meeting of the Tribes is one of the biggest belly-dancing performances of the year in Utah, encompassing "tribes" sprawling from throughout the Wasatch front in a three-hour show at the Masonic Temple Auditorium, Saturday, December 1, (650 East South Temple) from 1 to 4:30 p.m.The showcase will feature Middle Eastern music by Raj and a teachers' spotlight section in addition to classes/troupes from throughout Utah.

Performing in the showcase will be Amanda, (SLC); Jamileh, (Farmington); Sabaya, (Brigham City); Davina Tribal Collective, (SLC); Shah Sitara, (SLC); Ronnie Ambar, (SLC); Thia, (SLC); Kairo, (SLC); Belly Dance by Thia School, (SLC); Amina's Students, (SLC); Sahara, (SLC); Kelsey, (SLC); Shahravar, (SLC); Shazia, (Brigham City); Moroccan Winds, (Ogden); Alexandria, (SLC); Secrets of the East, (SLC); Zahirah Sheya, (SLC); Asuda, (SLC); Sahara Dreams, (SLC); Midnight Mirage School of Dance, (Farmington); Ventus, (SLC); Amina's Students, (SLC); and Zarifa, (St. George).

Admission is $7 at the door.
