Steven Swift, one of Southern Utah's best-known singer-songwriters, will headline a concert marking the 20th anniversary of the independent record store Groovacious, owned by Tim and Lisa Cretsinger.

On Nov. 9, 1992, Groovacious opened its doors for the first time in Oregon, and after eight successful years, in October 2000, the couple moved their store to Cedar City.

To mark the occasion, the record store will offer a 20 percent discount Friday, with Swift's show at the store at 7 p.m.

"It's going to be a fun day," Tim Cretsinger said.

Of the couple, Swift said, "God knows, they've helped me a lot over the years."

To repay their kindness, he said his show will include only songs from 1992, from the likes of Nirvana, Loudon Wainwright III, the Jayhawks, Pearl Jam, Tom Waits, Phish and Peter Gabriel.
