The USC Trojans are making its third trip to the Beehive State tonight, and the Utah Utes are hoping this college football contest (7 p.m., ESPN) goes better for the home team than the previous two.

In 1917, Southern California trounced Utah 51-0.

And in 2004, the top-ranked, defending national champion Trojans beat up on BYU, 42-10.

Oh, wait - the Utes don't care about anything to do with the Cougars anymore. I forgot.

At any rate, Utah (2-2) really need a win tonight against the Trojans (3-1) if they want to remain in the running for a Pac-12 division title.
