The drama that is our very own Ballet West continues tonight in Episode 2 of "Breaking Pointe" (7 p.m., CW/Ch. 30).
We're going to see more dancing than we did in Episode 1. Artistic director Adam Sklute and the dancers get to work on a new ballet that's, well, rather erotic.
But there's also going to be a whole lot more personal drama. In the aftermath of being told her Ballet West won't be renewed, Katie Martin goes in search of a new company. She travels to - gasp! - Boise to audition with Ballet Idaho.
(No! The horror!)
Katie's predicament leaves her boyfriend, Ronald Tilton, in a quandary. He's got a job with Ballet West, but should he give it up to move with Katie? Or should he stay in Salt Lake City with his brother, demi-soloist Rex?
He's got to decide one way or the other, so Rex takes Ronald to San Francisco to visit family and get some perspective.
Rex could use some perspective of his own to deal with his relationship - such as it is - with Allison DeBona. He loves her; she looks pained when he tells her that.
Allison's mother, by the way, told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that Allison "has been involved in a long-term, long-distance relationship with someone else." That should help Allison maintain her villainess status.
And then there's Ronnie Underwood (not to be confused with Ronald Tilton). Ronnie got a contract with Ballet West, but he didn't get the promotion he wanted. So should he stay or should he go in search of greener pastures?
