Tech N9ne’s Hostile Takeover tour features Krizz Kaliko, Mayday, Prozak, Stevie Stone and The Beginning At Last and, of course, Tech N9ne himself. But keep an eye on the volatile Machine Gun Kelly, who rhymes with a combination of arrogance as well as something to prove. "If you’re not confident in yourself, no one will be confident about you," the brash rapper from Ohio said in a phone interview. Signed to Bad Boy and Interscope Records, Kelly is a protege of Diddy, although Kelly is quick to say that he doesn’t brown-nose. "I don’t s___ any boy’s d___," he said. "I don’t let any label carry me." Kelly sees himself as "iconic," and aims to prove it on stage, where he said he is at his best: "I never want to be contained by a studio." In March, he released his Bad Boy debut, "Half Naked & Almost Famous." If you believe him, he won’t remain almost famous for long.
