On Thursday, May 10, you can go to a movie theater to watch a radio show. Really.

Ira Glass and Co. will present a live version of "This American Life" at select movie houses across the country, including 11 Cinemark theaters in Utah.

The show, which will originate from the NYU Skirball Center for the Performing Arts in New York City, won't actually be live in here. It will be seen on a one-hour tape-delay in this time zone.

The show will feature the brand of storytelling fans of "This American Life" have come to expect — including stories from David Sedaris, David Rakoff, Glynn Washington and Tig Notaro.

And the evening will include things you can't do on the radio — a short film by Mike Birbiglia and a dance performance by Monica Bill Barnes & Co.

The band OK Go will perform, and you can become part of the show. A free mobile app has been created just for the show; you can go to http://hypercompact.com/tal-okgo/ to download it.
