Helen Forsberg was one of The Cricket's first boss at The Salt Lake Tribune, back in the early 1990s. She ran the arts desk with good humor and a strong sense of style.

Before that, in her 27-year career at the Tribune, Helen was a thoughtful and honest dance critic, an enthusiastic collector of the works of Utah artists, and a champion of AIDS prevention and research. After she retired from the Trib in 2000, she served on the boards of RDT and Very Special Arts Utah.

Helen Forsberg died Tuesday, at the age of 60. The Cricket, and everyone who worked with her, will miss her tremendously.
