Brahms took 21 years to write it, and Salt Lake Symphony will take 1 night to perform it

The Salt Lake Symphony will perform its spring concert Saturday, April 21 at 7:30 pm at Libby Gardner Concert Hall on President's Circle on the University of Utah campus.

Led by assistant conductor Jong-hun Bae, the orchestra will perform two works: Mendelssohn's Concerto for Two Pianos and Brahms' Symphony no. 1.

Admission is $10 for adults, and $5 for students and seniors. Tickets are available in advance by calling 801-531-7501 or at the door with cash, check or credit card. Susan Duehlmeier and Bonnie Gritton will join the Salt Lake Symphony for a performance of Mendelssohn's Concerto for Two Pianos, and the concert's second half will feature what some consider to be Brahms' masterpiece — the composer took 21 years to complete it.A pre-concert talk will be given by Bae in Room 270, right behind the concert hall. Bae is an Assistant Conductor for the Salt Lake Symphony and the Utah Philharmonia, as well as Chief Conductor for the University Campus Symphony at the University of Utah.
