After three years of work, South Jordan City has unveiled a mural that blends a storyboard of 50 detailed drawings of U.S. historical milestones into a 69 inch by 138 inch American flag.

"E Pluribus Unum" begins with the First Nations of the American Indian tribes, taking the viewer through European discovery, revolution, wars, hippies, Martin Luther King, Franklin Roosevelt, Ronald Reagan and ending with a rebirth after 9/11.

"The mural celebrates everything this country has given to the world," says Canadian artist Lewis Lavoie, who created the mural.

The mural will be unveiled at the South Jordan City Hall, 1600 W. Towne Center Drive.
