GRADE: A-
BOOK • If you are of the opinion that country music has changed remarkably since 1998 and you should, because it has then it should be welcome news that the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum has just published the second edition of the endlessly useful and readable Encyclopedia of Country Music.
The first edition was released in 1998, so hundreds of entries have been added within its 640 pages, to help us figure out such things as the difference between Sara Evans and Lee Ann Womack.
The hardcover edition's listed price is $65 but when arguing with your drinking buddies why the Bakersfield Sound is superior to the Nashville Sound, it's best you don't take all of your knowledge from Wikipedia.
