Tour news: Some bad, some good

It’s a good and a bad day when it comes to concert news in Utah.

The good news is that Iron Maiden (with Coheed and Cambria opening) will perform at Usana Amphitheatre on Aug. 1, and Huey Lewis & The News are scheduled to perform at Red Butte Garden on Aug. 26, according to Pollstar.

The bad news is that summer dates were announced for the reunited Beach Boys and the Dave Matthews Band, and neither are scheduled to perform in Utah.

And, if you are an Alice Cooper fan, even more bad news. He is the opening act for Iron Maiden for half of their tour — but not for the Utah date.

For Iron Maiden, in most venues, tickets will go on sale on March 2 and 3 but watch this site or check local venue information for fuller details.
