Orem opens writing center
The Orem Library, with Utah Valley University, will open a Community Writing Center. Writing coaches will be available for help with school papers, college essays, writing projects, cover letters and more. Hours are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 2 to 7 p.m., Friday from noon to 4 p.m., closed Sundays and holidays. Walk-ins welcome.

Historians at Ken Sanders

Jenny Boully reading
The University of Utah’s Guest Writers Series will hold a reading with poet and prose writer Jenny Boully, best known for her books One Love and Book of Beginnings and Endings. Her work has been anthologized in The Next American Essay and other noted publications. She teaches poetry and nonfiction writing at Columbia College in Chicago.
