An exhibit opening Wednesday, Feb. 1, at the University of Utah’s J. Willard Marriott Library will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the XIX Winter Olympiad in Salt Lake City.
"The Olympic Experience Exhibition" is being hosted by the Utah Ski Archives, part of the Marriott Library’s Special Collections Department. The exhibition will highlight the many Utahns who participated in the Olympics — particularly the events on the University of Utah campus (where the opening and closing ceremonies took place, and where the Olympic Village was located).

The archives have collected more than 4,000 photographs from Olympic volunteers, attendees and residents — and are eager for more contributions, according to multimedia archivist Roy Webb.
"It is through individuals that we are able to archive historic collections for future generations," Webb said in a statement.
The exhibit runs Feb. 1-29 on the fourth floor of the Marriott Library, at .... on the U. of U. campus, Salt Lake City. The library is free to the public. For library hours, visit http://www.lib.utah.edu
