The consistently surprising set is nothing short of attention-arresting, with top-shelf performers ranging in age from Miley Cyrus, 19, to Pete Seeger, 92. The diversity of the musicians and musical genres — from rock, rap, hip-hop to pop, folk, country, jazz and blues — illustrates once again that Dylan’s seemingly simple templates inspire and encourage revelatory versions from artists such as U2, Green Day, Ke$ha, R.E.M., Dierks Bentley, Adele, Michael Franti, Taj Mahal and many others.
Dylan is forever young and forever relevant.
