NOVA series presents work of U. professor

The NOVA Chamber Music Series presents the world-premiere performance of a newly commissioned work by University of Utah composer Steve Roens. Professor Roens is known for writing in a beautiful, spare modernist language reminiscent of Webern. Performing are Jason Eckardt and Pierre Boulez. Also on the program are sonatas by Ives and Ravel performed by Utah Symphony Concertmaster Ralph Matson.

Kruger Brothers

Ogden Friends of Acoustic Music announce a concert by Kruger Brothers. The performance will feature also feature Imagine Ballet Theatre, Chamber Orchestra Ogden, and Weber State Chamber Orchestra.

Utah Philharmonia with concerto winners

The University of Utah Philharmonia will perform in concert with the school’s concerto competition winners. They include Andrea da Silva, soprano; DeAunn Davis, horn; Bailey Stewart, marimba; and Ubeeng Kuaq, piano. The concert will feature each of the winners performing their chosen solo piece.
