Social Distortion coming to Utah

It has just been announced by United Concerts that Social Distortion will perform at The Depot on May 11, with tickets going on sale Friday, Jan. 20, at 10 a.m. at all SmithsTix outlets.

The hard-rock band with punk and country influences was created in 1978 by Mike Ness in Orange County, and he has led the band since then with various incarnations backing him.

The band has released seven studio albums: "Mommy’s Little Monster" (1983), "Prison Bound" (1988), "Social Distortion" (1990), "Somewhere Between Heaven and Hell" (1992), "White Light, White Heat, White Trash" (1996), "Sex, Love and Rock ‘n’ Roll" (2004) and "Hard Times and Nursery Rhymes" (2011).

The current lineup is Ness, Jonny "2 Bags" Wickersham on guitar, Brent Harding on bass, and David Hidalgo Jr. on drums.
