The Cedar City improv comedy group, OTC Comedy, was established in January of 2004 and is celebrating its 8th anniversary this year.

It was created by five SUU students who performed weekly at the Grind Coffeehouse, and this past year marked the opening of their education center, the OTC Comedy Improv Training Center.

Originally planned because they wished to perform more improv than was being permitted on campus, none of the founders said they foresaw the group blossoming into a full-scale theatre organization.

The Annual OTC Comedy Birthday Show is this Friday, January 13 at a special start time of 9 p.m.

The group invites every past performer to return for one night in a celebratory spectacle.

Past birthdays have seen over thirty different improvisers onstage at one time. This will be the first year the show is held at their Training Center (913 S. Main St. next to IFA and Big Lots).

Admission is only $5 for everyone. You can find more information on their website at http://www.otccomedy.com, or look for them on Facebook and Twitter.
