Bach and beyond
The concerts on Temple Square continue with the Pioneer Valley Chamber Ensemble performing "Wir Eilen" from Bach's Cantata No. 78, the first movement of Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No. 5, and excerpts from Bach's Mass in B Minor, as well as several patriotic pieces.

Composer commissions
The Utah Arts Festival announces this year's composer commissions. Three works, for chamber orchestra, chamber ensemble and jazz ensemble, will premiere during the festival. They are "Promontories" by Christopher Stark, "Winter's Burst" by Ethan Wickman and "Recall" by David Featherstone.
