Dining news and notes: Salsa in the Sukkah

Salsa and the Jewish holiday of Sukkot come together Thursday, Sept. 23, at the I.J. and Jeanné Wagner Jewish Community Center, 2 N. Medical Drive, Salt Lake City. "Salsa in the Sukkah" starts at 6 p.m. Admission is $5 for JCC members, $7.50 for others. Decorate a Sukkah, a temporary dwelling used by the Israelites on their journey to Jerusalem, then enjoy a salsa sampling and salsa dance lessons. Guests should bring a picnic dinner. Fro-yo in Provo

EarthFruits Yogurt, a new self-serve yogurt shop in Provo, will give away a year's supply of frozen yogurt to the first 100 people in line on Saturday, Sept. 18. The grand opening celebration also includes children's activities, live music, dance performances and an exotic creature encounter. Save on Sundays

Chipotle Mexican Grills along the Wasatch Front are offering a buy one, get one free deal every Sunday in September. The offer is good between 3 and 5 p.m., when you buy a burrito, a bowl, an order of tacos or a salad. Chipotle has stores in Bountiful, Salt Lake City and Cottonwood Heights.
