El Inti is a new Peruvian restaurant at 8475 S. State St., Sandy. The menu includes halibut ceviche, lomo saltado (beef strips with sautéed onions and peppers) and deep-fried picarones with syrup. Party for Crossroads

The eighth annual Wine and Cheese Benefit Party for Crossroads Urban Center is Sept. 12, 1-4 p.m., at the Bayou, 645 S. State, Salt Lake City. The event will offer live music and refreshments, including wine, nonalcoholic beverages, gourmet cheeses, assorted breads and fresh fruit. Tickets are $45. All proceeds help pay for food, clothing and medicine for Utahns in need. Call 801-364-7765 to purchase tickets.

Wine pairing weekend

Enjoy a fall wine pairing weekend Sept. 11-12 at Alta Lodge in Little Cottonwood Canyon. It begins Saturday at 2 p.m. with a guided hike. At 6 p.m., enjoy a six-course dinner with nine wine pairings. Then stay overnight at the lodge and enjoy Sunday brunch. Cost is $154 per person. Wine pairings are an additional $36. To make a reservation, call 800-7072582.
