BYU freshman Jacob Hannemann has been named the West Coast Conference Player of the Week after helping the Cougars win their conference series over Santa Clara.

Hannemann was 8-of-18 for a .444 average with two home runs, two doubles, one triple, six RBIs and four runs scored. Hannemann's slugging percentage was 1.000 and he had an on-base percentage of .500 for the week.

Hannemann ranks second nationally in triples (5) and is first in the WCC in triples. This past week he raised his batting average from .315 to .333.

BYU (17-14 overall, 5-4 in the WCC) plays Tuesday night against Utah.
