Thanks to a solid setting performance, to go with a handful of digs against two top-10 teams, BYU senior setter Ryan Boyce earned his first AVCA National Player of the Week and MPSF Player of the Week.

The No. 1 Cougars, on the road, swept then-No. 9 CS Northridge and then-No. 4 Long Beach State to extend their winning streak to nine matches.

Boyce dished out 38 assists on the first night and 35 the next. He also added a combined 13 digs.

The Cougars are ranked No. 1 in the AVCA national poll for the fourth-straight week and received all 16 first-place votes. BYU returns to the Smith Fieldhouse against No. 5 Pepperdine on Thursday at 7 p.m. and USC on Saturday at 8 p.m.
