After a warm-up win against Idaho State to open the WNIT, life gets a little more complicated for BYU in the second round against former Mountain West Conference foe San Diego State.

The Cougars (22-10) and Aztecs (26-6) tip off at 2 p.m. in the Marriott Center in Provo.

"I don't think we played our best game, but we got it done," said BYU coach Jeff Judkins following Wednesday night's 69-54 victory against the Bengals.

BYU's 6-foot-7 post Jennifer Hansom dominated ISU, reaching double figures before halftime and finishing with a career-high 25 points to go with 12 rebounds and five blocks. Guard Haley Steed contributed 20 points with nine assists.

San Diego State, which beat Santa Barbara in the WNIT first round and returns four starters from 2012, was the Mountain West Conference champion during the regular season. SDSU lost to Fresno State in the tournament final.

Chelsea Hopkins leads the Aztecs in rebounding, assists and steals. —
