Two stars of the BYU women's volleyball team were named as Volleyball Magazine All-Americans Tuesday morning.

Jennifer Hamson, was named as a second-team All-American, while teammate Nicole Warner was named as a third-team All-American. The pair were essential in BYU's run to the round of 16 finish at the 2012 NCAA Tournament. The team finished the season 28-4.

Hamson, a 6-foot-7 junior from Lindon, finished the season No. 17 in the country for points per set at 5.03. The former Pleasant Grove star led the Cougars with 4.09 kills per set on .362 hitting and had 1.26 blocks per set, good enough for second most on the team. As an opposite hitter at BYU, Hamson was named West Coast Conference (WCC) Player of the Year after leading her team to a share of the WCC title. She also received American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-America First Team honors.

Warner, a 6-foot-2 senior from Rigby, Idaho, led the BYU defense with 1.80 blocks per set and finished No. 2 in the nation in that category. Warner finished her career with the Cougars No. 3 all time for career block assists (627) and No. 4 all time for total career blocks (657). The middle-blocker was also No. 6 in the nation for hitting percentage, hitting .423. Warner was named West Coast Conference co-Defensive Player of the Year and received AVCA All-America Honorable Mention. —
