Ogden • Brandon Davies scored a career-high 33 points to lead BYU past Weber State on Saturday night, 78-68, in the Dee Events Center.

Davies was the difference against a Wildcat team that could not find any offensive cohesion. Davion Berry led WSU (4-3) with 25 points, but had little help.

The victory snapped WSU's 20-game home win streak.

Weber State closed to within 2 points midway through the second half. The Cougars (7-3) dug in and went on an 8-0 run to take control.

BYU gradually pulled away in the last seven minutes.
