The Utah women’s basketball team has released its 2014-15 non-conference schedule, including four games against teams who played in the postseason last year.
Road games against Nebraska (NCAA, second round), Creighton (WNIT, second round) and home contests against BYU (NCAA Sweet 16) and UNC Charlotte (WNIT, first round) add heft to Utah’s schedule as they try to improve on a 12-19 finish last season.
"There is a good mixture of home, road and neutral-site games that will hopefully have us ready for a run into the postseason," said head coach Anthony Levrets in a release Thursday.
Utah returns three starters and senior forward Taryn Wicijowski, who missed last season with an ACL injury.
The Utes also play in a late November tournament in Reno against, at least, Ole Miss, and have games against in-state rival Utah State and traditional women’s basketball powerhouse Louisiana Tech.
