Kyle Whittingham's seat is getting hot, according to the ESPN Pac-12 blog.

Offseason job speculation is a national pastime in college football and ESPN's Ted Miller ranked Whittingham's job security 11th out of the 12 conference coaches heading into 2014. The only coach to trail Whittingham? California coach Sonny Dykes, who led the Golden Bears to a 1-11 record in 2013.

Two straight 5-7 seasons have hurt the Utes coach, but the argument is there that Utah still needs time to transition from the talent level of the Mountain West to the Pac-12.

However, as Miller points out, a return to bowl season would likely earn Whittingham some security.

Tell us above how hot you think Whittingham's seat is heading into the season.
