New York Jets sign Utah OLB Trevor Reilly

(Steve Griffin | The Salt Lake Tribune) during first half action in the University of Utah versus University of Arizona football game at Arizona Stadium in Tucson, AZ Saturday, October 19, 2013.

The New York Jets announced Wednesday that they signed Utah OLB Trevor Reilly, a seventh-round pick.

Reilly, 26, may have fallen in the draft because of his age and injury history, but he told reporters in a conference call Saturday that he was "happy to be a Jet."

It was a long offseason for the multi-position Utah standout, who fell from the first round on some draft boards in October despite not sustaining any major injuries since then.

The Jets declined to release details of the contract. ESPN reports that it was a four-year deal for about $2.3 million.
