Throw the Utah-Arizona game on the pile of wacky college football contests that took place Saturday. The Utes lost in a surprising way with Arizona back Ka'Deem Carey totaling a school record 236 yards.
No doubt Carey is a great back, as the Utes learned last year when he rushed for 204 yards against them. That he bettered his stats on Saturday against a Utah defense that played so well against Stanford was surprising.
Just as troubling for the Utes was the offensive woes. Quarterback Travis Wilson threw two interceptions before he was sidelined due to a swollen right hand.<
