Utah gymnastics fifth in preseason poll

Utah's gymnastics team, which finished fifth in 2012, was picked to finish fifth again in 2013 in the coaches' preseason poll.
The Utes received one first-place vote and a total of 568 points.
Defending champion Alabama was picked first with 689 points followed by UCLA (645), Florida (644) and Oklahoma (622).
Stanford, Nebraska, LSU, Oregon State and Michigan round out the Top 10.
Utah opens its season at UCLA on Jan. 12.
The home opener is Jan. 12 against No. 9 Oregon State, West Virginia and SUU.
Other Pac-12 teams joining Utah, Oregon State, UCLA and Stanford in the rankings were No. 17 Washington and No. 19 Denver.
Utah will host a sneak preview for fans Friday in the Huntsman Center at 7 p.m.
