Jason Washburn and Aaron Dotson, two of Utah's projected starters, sat out of Friday's practice with various ailments.

Washburn, the senior center from Michigan, is suffering from concussion-like symptoms. He hasn't practiced since Tuesday.

Dotson hurt his foot in Thursday's practice. He received an MRI on it Friday morning and was in a walking boot on Friday afternoon.

Coach Larry Krystkowiak said that he should know more on Dotson's status early next week. If he misses a significant amount of time, expect Jarred DuBois to move into the starting lineup and Justin Seymour to be more of a part of the rotation.

Dotson could emerge as one of the Utes' best scoring guards if healthy. His status could have an impact on the early part of the season, one way or the other.
