will remain open to the public (free) from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily

through Friday on the fourth floor of the University of Utah's

Marriott Library.

Parking is available at the nearby Campus Store, west of the library.

The collection of photographs, game programs and other memorabilia

shows the football team's evolution from Cummings Field on campus to

Ute Stadium, which was dedicated in 1927 on the site of the current

Rice-Eccles Stadium.

Among the more interesting photos are feature shots of former

offensive guard Norm Chow, quarterback Lee Grosscup and coach Ike

Armstrong, who's pictured with legendary Notre Dame coach Knute

Rockne. There are also a team photo of the school's first squad in

1892, shots of the school band through the years and a 1942 home

schedule that advertises a $7 season ticket. A nice display from the

1964 Liberty Bowl, played indoors in Atlantic City, N.J., is among

other attractions.

A loop of highlights from various games plays continuously. The

library is in the process of digitizing hundreds of old game films

for use by patrons.
