How aggressive will Utes be with offense?

Ahh Football Friday! You've got to love these holiday weeks that feature a Friday football game too, makes for good week don't you say?

Doubt many Utah fans will have their minds on work today. After all there are tailgating plans to be made. Traveling up to Logan for a game is a good roadtrip for the Utes. It's going to put them in a hostile environment that will test their mettle, but if they take care of business they should handle the Aggies just fine.

Taking care of business, in the mind of quarterback Jordan Wynn, is getting a good, clean start.

"We didn't do that last week," he said. "I had that interception and you can't do that. We definitely want to be a team that starts fast and we need to take care of the ball."

A good solid opening drive would be the best way to take the edge off the crowd, which the Utes expect will be one of the loudest they'll face this year. Several Utes were on the team in 2008 when Utah won 58-10 in Logan and still remember that game.

"It's an exciting place," receiver Luke Matthews said. "Their crowd likes to talk to you from the stands and stuff like that, it's a good atmosphere."

It will be interesting to see which way the Utes go with their offense to start the game. Utah coach Kyle Whittingham stressed the need for being more explosiveness. So do you open the game by letting Wynn take some big shots down the field, or do you put the ball in the dependable hands of running back John White and play it safe and let him grind out a few drives?

If the Utes have confidence in Wynn, I'd like to see him challenging Utah State's defense right away.
