Utes picked to finish second in poll

The Pac-12 Media Day kicked off with the release of the Pac-12 preseason poll in which the Utes were picked to finish second behind USC.
USC, which was picked to win the league title as well, visits Utah on Oct. 4 for a Thursday night game that will be televised by ESPN. I have a feeling that game is going to have one wild and crazy atmosphere surrounding it.
As for the poll, the Utes are extremely optimistic about their season and I think they impressed some people with the way they fought through some early adversity and finished strong.
We'll get coach Kyle Whittingham's thoughts on it in a bit when the coaches and players arrive for the media sessions here at Universal Studios.
