The Utah men's basketball team on Tuesday announced its official plans for a 12-day trip to Brazil in August on which the Utes will play five games against opponents of various levels.

The Utes will be gone from Aug. 4 to Aug. 15.

According to an announcement, the Utes will play two professional Division I teams, a Division II team, the Braziliaz U-23 squad and a mid-level opponent. Recent Utah signee Renan Lenz, a forward who played the last two years at signed with the Utes out of Arizona Western Junior College, is from Porto Alegre in the Brazilian state of Rio Grande Do Sul.

The Utes will visit the states of Sao Paolo and Rio de Janeiro.

The trip is the Utes' fourth offseason international trip since 1997. They most recentrly traveled to Australia in 2007.
