Utah's gymnastics team added a Junior Olympian to its signing class Tuesday, announcing that Taylor Allex, who took third in the all-around and won the vault title at the 2012 Junior Olympics, has signed with the Utes.
She will join the team in the fall after graduating from her high school in Becker, Minn., a year early.
She played fifth in the 2011 Junior Olympics.
"She has come on incredibly strong in the last couple years and we feel as though the best is still yet to come with Taylor," Utah coach Greg Marsden said. "She will bring a powerful style of gymnastics that will complement the gymnasts we already have in the program."
