'Plus one' model a possibility again, Scott says

The possibility of a 'plus one' title game is stronger after the Big 12 and SEC announced their "Champions Bowl," according to a report in the Wall Street Journal.
Pac-12 commissioner Larry Scott called the announcement of the bowl game a 'game changer,' in determining the future of a possible playoff system.

Closer to home, Utah coach Kyle Whittingham remains optimistic some semblance of a playoff will soon be implemented.
"I'm for anything that gets us closer to a playoff," he said.
