Reshawn Hooker, a 5-foot-11, 195-pound linebacker out of Fontana, Calif., kept the Utes' recruiting train alive Wednesday as he committed to the Utes.
Hooker was recruited by several Pac-12 schools including Arizona, Arizona State and Colorado in addition to Hawaii.
He visited the Utes last weekend and decided Salt Lake City could be a good fit for him.
"I liked it and it was real modern," he said. "It topped all the other schools and schematically I fit into their program."
Hooker was recruited by quarterbacks coach Brian Johnson and hosted by safety Brian Blechen.
"He showed me around a bit and it was a good trip," he said.
